INFORMATION ABOUT COOKIES

Due to the entry into force of the referral modification of the “Law of Services of the Information Society” (LSSICE) established by Royal Decree 13/2012, it is obligatory to obtain the express consent of the user of all the web pages that use disposable cookies, before they navigate through them.

 WHAT ARE COOKIES?

The cookies and other similar technologies such as local shared objects, flash cookies and pixels are tools used by web servers to store and retrieve information about their visitors, and to provide proper operation of the site.

By using these devices, the web server is allowed to remember some data concerning the user, such as their preferences for the display of the pages of this server, name and password, products that interest him most, etc.

COOKIES AFFECTED BY THE RULING AND COOKIES EXEMPT

According to the EU directive, cookies that require informed consent from the user are the analytical and advertising cookies and affiliation, with the exception of those of a technical nature and those necessary for the operation of the website or the provision of services expressly requested by the user.

WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES ARE HERE?

About the types of cookies, there are five large groups:

  • Analytical cookies: these collect information about the usage made on the website.
  • Social cookies: are those necessary for external social networks.
  • Affiliate cookies: they allow tracking the number of visits from other websites, with which the website establishes a membership contract (affiliate companies).
  • Advertising and behaviour cookies: these collect information about the user’s preferences and personal choices (retargeting).
  • Technical and functional cookies: are strictly necessary in order to use the website and for the provision of the contracted service.

 

COOKIES WE USE IN OUR WEBSITE

  • List of the names of the cookies and their functions, for example:
  • PHPSESSID: are the technical cookies and they are strictly necessary for the website page and they contain the identifier of the session. They are deleted when you close the browser.
  • _Lang: they are technical cookies and are strictly necessary for the website page and they contain the language of the session. They are deleted when you close the browser.
  • ac_cookies: are technical cookies and they are strictly necessary; they contain the value of accepting the installation of cookies. They expire in 1 year from the last update.
  • _ga: Google Analytics Universal cookies that enable the unique visit control feature. The first time a user enters the website through a browser, these cookies will be installed. When this user returns and enters the web with the same browser, the cookies will consider that it is the same user. Only in case the user changes the browser, another user will be considered.  These expire at 2 years from the last update.
  • _gat: These cookies are associated with Google Analytics Universal. They are used to limit the speed of petition – the limitation of data collection in high traffic sites. Expire at 10 minutes.
  • _utma: Google Analytics cookies that record the date of the first and last time the user visited the website. Expire at 2 years from the last update.
  • _utmb: Google Analytics cookies that record the time of arrival on the web page. Expire 30 minutes from the last update.
  • _utmc: Google Analytics cookies used for interoperability with the tracking code urchin.js. They are deleted when you close the browser.
  • _utmt: Google Analytics cookies used to process the type of request requested by the user. Expire at the end of the session.
  • _utmv: Google Analytics cookies used to segment demographic data. Expire at the end of the session.
  • _utmz: Google Analytics cookies that store the source of traffic or a campaign to explain how the user reached the website. They expire 6 months from the last update.

 

REVOCATION OF THE CONSENT TO INSTALL COOKIES

HOW TO ELIMINATE THE COOKIES OF THE NAVIGATOR

Chrome

  1. Select the Tools icon
    2. Click on Settings.
    3. Click Show Advanced Options.
    4. In the “Privacy” section, click on Content Settings.
    • Delete cookies: Click All cookies and site data …
    • Do not allow cookies to be stored.
    5. Click on Delete browsing data (clear the cache).
    6. Close and restart the browser.

Internet Explorer. Version 11

  1. Select Tools | Internet options.
    2. Click on the General tab.
    3. In the “Navigation History” section, click Delete Browsing History on exit.
    4. Select Delete Files.
    5. Select Delete Cookies.
    6. Click Delete.
    7. Click OK.
    8. Close and restart your browser.

Firefox. Version 65.0.1

  1. Select Firefox | History | Clear recent history.
    2. Next to “Details”, click the down arrow.
    3. Select the following check boxes: Cookies, Cache, Active logins
    4. Using the “Delay period” from the drop-down menu, select All.
    5. Click Clean now.
    6. Close and restart the browser.

You can accept or reject cookies individually in Firefox Preferences, in the History section available in Tools> Options> Privacy.

  1. Select Safari icon / Edit | Restore Safari.
    2. Select the following check boxes: Clear the history, Delete all the data from your website
    3. Click Reset.
